We offer leisure and social activities for adults with learning disabilities in the Shipley and Bradford area. We run 3 social clubs, one is run once a week, two are monthly,where members take part in games, craft and computer activities or go out bowling, shopping or to the pub. We run a computer session. We are a voluntary org. We also have an 'Out and About' scheme, whereby paid carers take out leisure library members for short breaks, also giving respite to their carers. Please ring prior to

Offers training courses and workshops to unemployed/unwaged Part time workers people in the Bradford area. There is also a well equipped job search room with experienced staff to help people find work. Training is also available through on-line learning for Maths, Communication, ECDL and CLAIT. These computers are also linked to the Internet for those using the job search facilities. Restrictions apply. Shipley New Start is open Mon-Tues-Thurs and Fri 9:15-4:00, Weds 9:15-3:15.

A wide variety of services are offered to patients in Airedale General Hospital by volunteers. Opportunities are available for volunteers mornings,afternoons and evenings, 7 days per week. Formal screening process includes CRB check for all volunteers applying. Services offered include: shops,guide and information,chapel services,ward trolley services,clinic refreshments and transport. Cancer,Cardiac and Epilepsy support. Transport for relatives with mobility problems may also be available.
